Thanksgiving Week with The Bolgers, Part 1

We spent Thanksgiving week in Palm Desert with the Bolgers. It was a really fun week and Ben loved playing with his cousin Olivia, who is only 2 1/2 months older. The Monterey Bolgers made the drive down on Tuesday leaving at the crack of dawn. The drive down is 8 1/2 hours so we had to make a few stops for our super active and antsy 16 month old. Our first stop was at the Tobin James winery in Paso Robles... great grounds, great wine, great opportunity for Ben to run around before getting back in the car...
Mom & Dad switched off sitting in the back seat with Ben to help entertain him. This was about hour 5 once thru the LA traffic with Jeff & Ben having a little fun.
Even though it's the desert, Palm Desert is mighty cold in the morning and night. Each morning we'd walk the golf course and if we were walking before 7:00am, it was around 40 degrees. This is pretty chilly for us from the coast.
Bundled up and ready for the walk!
We got to see Great Grandpa Bud on Wednesday who is a really cool guy and Great Grandpa!
Ben & Olivia had a lot of fun playing the games 'Corn Hole' and 'How's it Hangin.' Cornhole is pretty simple, just throw a bean bag into a hole...
But 'How's it Hangin' poses some danger... We weren't sure if Ben would go for it right away but he did. So...
... No more 'How's it Hangin' for Ben until he is a bit older and more in control.
Stay tuned for future posts with Thanksgiving pics...

Have a good week!
