Bolger Boys Love the Olympics!

And apparently Pottery Barn catalogues...

Ben Loves his Jumperoo...

And so do Mom & Dad! When Ben has a ton of energy, we put him in the bouncer and he goes to town! Since he can't walk or crawl yet, this is basically the only way for him to let out his energy.
Tired after a long session of jumping...

Happy Birthday Jeff!

Last weekend was Jeff's birthday so the boys decided to dress alike... Bolgers sure do love their tie-dye! Ben got in on the un-wrapping action by helping Dad open his birthday cards. Ben did a great job of investigating and taste testing each and every envelope!

Adventures at BolgerFest!

Last weekend was Ben's first BolgerFest adventure as well as his first plane trip (see post below). We all loved reuniting with all our Bolger family for Megan & Dallas' wedding for a really fun weekend. Here we are at cocktail hour after just having arrived at the hotel. Ben was a bit tired (which really means he was cranky) but he perked up when he saw Grandma & Grandpa.

Our favorite Texans ever, the Texan Bolgers, flew in from Fort Worth. All 5 are beyond fabulous and here Jeff & Texan Bolger Jessica are catching up. Jessica has been dubbed by us as the 'baby whisperer' so its pretty likely that Jeff is picking Jess' brain for suggestions on something Ben related.

Saturday morning started with a quick trip to the beach. Ben slept thru most of it.

Cousin Olivia, on the other hand, was too excited to sleep... :)

Here Texan Bolger Tommy & Ben's cousin, Ella, are taking a break from sitting in the ocean to take a picture for our blog.

This was Ben's first wedding and he had a lot of fun... at least for the part that he was awake for... does there seem to be a common theme here of Ben sleeping thru our weekend away?! He got to dance with both Mom and Dad, got to wear a cool outfit and he loved the bread.

Before he fell asleep, Ben played with Grandma & Grandpa at the table... which let Mom & Dad have a bit of dinner.

Cousin Olivia stayed up the entire wedding. She is much more of a party animal then Ben... but she is 2 1/2 months older... what do you expect?!

Sunday was beach day. It was in the upper 70s and beyond gorgeous. Ben got to put his feet in the ocean for the first time but the water was too cold so the subsequent pics (that are not posted so Ben doesn't rebel against us as a teen) are of him squeeling and crying.

Ben loved playing with Grandma & Olivia (in between naps, go figure) with all the plastic utensils from lunch. Its the simple pleasures in life for our little Ben.

Family portrait... we're all a bit hot here and were being chased by a bee, hence the look of question on Ben's face.

That's it until the next BolgerFest! Have a great week!

Ben's 1st Plane Trip!

Ben had his 1st plane trip this weekend & other than having to pack a ton of stuff, he did really really well. We won't go so far to say that he had fun... but at least he didn't scream and annoy the whole plane! Side note : Jeff was really disappointed that the airlines no longer give out 'wing' pins for baby's first flight... I have a feeling Ben prefered tearing & shredding the Southwest Air Mall magazine ;)

Ben & Papa's Nap Time

Ben's favorite place to nap isn't on a bed or in a crib...

Toys, Toys, Toys

Sure, I enjoy toys just as much as any baby. But let me tell you about my latest find... 'toys' from around the house. They are really the coolest things ever. Remote controls, empty Kleenex boxes, water bottles, need I say more? And, Oh! My absolute favorite... the Pottery Barn catalogs so I can rip the pages out, tear them and chew them. I just love that crinkle! Any my preference is to find this catalogue BEFORE Mom does so I have first dibs on destroying it! Ha!

What is Sunday?

For those of you that said Superbowl, you are wrong. Well, partially. It is my 7 month birthday. I just had my check up today and my doctor says I am progressing right on schedule. I tend to agree. And in my vast 7 months, I can tell you a few things that I know to be true.

1. Butternut squash is the best vegetable there is... So much better than peas or anything green for that matter.

2. Bath time is really fun especially when I 'baptize' Mom and Dad... I think they love it too, why wouldn't they?!? I prefer the sneak attack when they have no idea it's coming. Seriously, it's the highlight of my day and I assume the highlight of their day, too.

3. I think I like that furry thing that my Mom and Dad tell me is my sister eventhough we look nothing alike... the one with spots that barks and they call her Sophie Lou. Anyway, she stays clear of me so I am not 100% sure I like her but I think we will get along well soon. She does love to stand below my high chair at dinner time, she's pretty scrappy that way. I can appreciate that.

4. I am a great inspector. Anything you give me, I will inspect it from top to bottom, right to left and then double back and start all over. But I don't stop there, folks. Once the visual inspection is complete, the taste test begins. Everything gets a taste test. Everything. See example below.

I go to my second wedding next weekend and get to experience my first Bolgerfest. I've heard Bolgerfests are pretty cool so that will be tons of fun. I get to hang with my peeps, Olivia, John Thomas, Luke and Ella. It's also my first time in a plane. I'm excited, Mom is nervous. Go figure. Who'll bet me $20 to royally annoy the whole plane?!

Ben is a true Bolger Boy...

... he loves his dinner time!
