Frogger

Ben was testing out his new frog hat and wanted to show all his friends that he's pulling out the big dawgs!

Ben & Jake, Take 2!

Jake and Ben met for their 2nd play date and while Jake was more interested in playing than Ben was, Ben told me later that night how cool he thinks Jake Goines is... :)

What to do on a rainy day...

So... Jeff and Jen both had Monday off for Martin Luther King Jr day. We were all hoping to be out and about and have some fun in Monterey but mother nature had a much different plan for us. This entire weekend has been cold, rainy, windy & actually, very very rainy. So... we've been inside all weekend and what do you do after 2 full days inside and a full third day inside ahead of you??? Photo Shoot! Here are a few of our favs from Ben's photo shoot this morning, enjoy!

Ben & Maxine Meet... Finally!

Ben & Maxine's parents like to joke that the two babies will marry one day because the family holidays would be awesome. There is a whole plan already set in place... Ben & Maxine remain just-friends thru high school. At college, they will both go to Santa Clara University and start dating while studdying abroad their Junior year. They will then get married around 26-ish years old and when they go on their honeymoon, their parents (us & the Bussis) will go on our own honeymoon, probably a chartered yacht in the Mediterranean! Ok... now, we just need to figure out how to get the wheels in motion...

Rain Rain Go Away...

The rain this weekend has been pretty constant... so much so that Sophie had to wear a rain coat on her walk with Dad...

Rainy Day in Monterey

Its been a rainy weekend here in Monterey so other than a walk on Saturday AM, we've been indoors quite a bit... and Ben loves to get outside so he's been rammy, to say the least. But... Ben has a new toy that he loves to play in, see pic below. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Happy 6 Month Birthday to Me!

Happy 6 month birthday to Ben! Last Friday, Ben turned a half year old... somehow. We were planning a little dinner party to celebrate but a few hours before, his first tooth decided it was time to make its grand entrance so, needless to say, Ben was pretty fussy and in no mood for a dinner party, especially if he was going to be the center of attention. We are VERY happy to say his fussiness has mellowed out in the past few days and he's back to his fun ol' self.

Both of Ben's parents are baffled that 6 months have come and gone so quick. Our little man is on the brink of sitting on his own, adores sweet potatoes, has yet to crawl (which is a very good thing - the mobility factor seems daunting to his already exhausted parents) and seems to like 'cougars' (he flirts with many of his Mom's friends). We're definitely looking forward to Ben's next 6 months.

Happy 6 month birthday to you, Ben, & a very happy 6 month anniversary to us!

Ben loves his new golf bag!

Maybe it was because he was stuck in the car for 8 hours and excited to be home, but a few hours after we got back from our Christmas vacation, Ben erupted in to spontaneous laughter after playing with his new golf bag he got for Christmas. We're so glad we had a camera readily available. Enjoy!

The Boys... & Olivia

I love carrots...

Being around Olivia for almost 2 weeks was great for Ben. Since she's 2.5 months older, she taught him a few things... including how to swallow food. Before he saw her eat her food, Ben would spit his food out. But thanks to Olivia, Ben realized how much he likes carrots and how to actually swallow them vs. smearing them around his face and bib. Thank you, baby Olivia!

My 2 Men...

So... I know boys don't go for the 'cutsey cutsey' thing that girls do... but I just couldn't resist get Jeff & Ben matching shirts. Jeff sported the shirt, "My Kid Totally Rocks" & Ben sported the "My Dad Totally Rocks" shirt. Probably my one opportunity for them to match so I had to take advantage of it :)

Hot Tubbin' Ben

Ben & Olivia loved hot tubbin' over the Christmas holiday. With the help of a life jacket and a floaty, they would just float in the warm water, splash a bit and relax. Oh to be a baby!

Ben & Olivia Reunite!

Ben & Olivia haven't seen each other since Ben was a week and a half old & Olivia was 2.5 months old. The first pic is them re-meeting for the first time on Christmas morning... Ben was obviously a little more shocked to see Olivia at that first meeting but after spending a week and a half together, they became fast friends. Ben made Olivia cry, Olivia would take Ben's passey, they'd share toys etc etc. Fast friends, for sure!
